I do believe that classroom should be equipped with more than computers; however, I believe that a lot of these things are hard to put in place because more security would need to be given to our school compounds and that is another bill that some school or the government might not be able to afford at this time.
It would be an incentive for teachers to gain a little knowledge of technology. Technology makes life easier and less stressful. There are so many information and activities that technology offers. However, our schools do not enforce or encourages the use of technology in schools. Hence, the reason for teachers to be reluctant to learn the use of technology.
We are now living in a time that technology changes regularly. The days of chalk talk have well over do it time. Nowadays time get modernized our classroom should revolve these changes. Children are exposed to these new technologies at home which draw their attention and interest, so we as teachers should have interactive lessons using the computer as our main source of tool to foster education.
Yes,I believe that teacher should have an obligation to remain current in their subject area that they are teaching. Furthermore,we are presently living in an advancing technological era. As a result, the technology we learn should be passed on by the teacher to the students. By doing this, it build's the teachers self esteem and confidence level.
